The Wash (2001)
With the rent due and his car
booted, Sean (Dr. Dre) has to come up with some ends...and fast.
When his best buddy and roommate Dee Loc (Snoop Dogg), suggests
that Sean get a job busting suds down at the local car wash, the
first order of business is impressing Mr. Washington (George
Wallace) the gun-toting, dominoes-playing owner of The Wash.
Unaware that the two are roomies, Mr. Washington hires Sean as Dee
Loc's supervisor. Comic tensions flare between the two, especially
when Dee Loc suspects Sean of trying to slow his roll with the
side hustles he's got going on in the car wash parking lot...and
with the ladies in the locker room. But there are bigger things to
worry about at The Wash. One is the menacing phone calls from a
disgruntled employee, and the other is figuring out how to get
money to pay off the kidnappers who've snatched Mr. Washington! If
Sean, Dee Loc, and the rest of the gang don't settle their
differences and get Mr. Washington back, the good times at The
Wash will soon come to an end.

Snap, Crackle, and Pop are top dogs
in the Eastsidaz gang in Long Beach. Pop, also known as Killa, is
the alpha dog. He has Crackle and Snap set up a big drug deal
that's going to put him on easy street. But Crackle and Snap have
their own agenda: they kill the suppliers, take a suitcase of
money, and set up Killa to take the fall. Stuck in the state pen
in Chino, Killa has his gang figure out what really happened while
he hatches an escape plan. Meanwhile, Crackle has kidnaped Killa's
sweetie, Booboo, and the government has confiscated his assets.
Can Killa Pop escape Chino, rescue Booboo, exact revenge, find the
loot, and elude the police?

King, an Irish kid raised in South Central L.A. by a Black family.
He talks Black, dresses Black, and thinks of himself as Black.
It's a day of disasters: his mom kicks him out of the house, his
uncle fires him, the woman he loves dismisses him as childish, the
LAPD (wearing Confederate-flag shoulder patches) impounds his car
and tosses him in the drunk tank, a mean dude is after him for
money, he's imprisoned in a store basement by gay sadists, and
he's shot at. Along the way, however, he shows kindness to a
near-sighted kid, and those random acts may prove to be his
salvation.
