Inspired by a true story,

released from prison after 8 years in the federal penitentiary. At
the beginning of the movie we see that G wanted to live a straight
life, in order to avoid being locked up again. However, once he
returns home to Compton, CA, it doesn't take long before he slips
back into his old lifestyle. A combination of old friends, old
enemies, the need for money and rejection, turns G's life back
onto the streets. his struggle and adventures give the viewer
insight as to why G chose a life of crime. G successfully starts
hustling on the streets and meets a woman he thinks will set him
straight. G keeps his life of crime a secret with this new woman,
Alexis. Likewise, Alexis keeps her life as an undercover DEA agent
a secret from G too. The two opposite characters fall in love in
the midst of their lies and deception. This all comes to a
climatic finish, at the end of the movie, with a twist that is
totally unpredictable.
