Life Story
Seann William Scott (born October 3, 1976, in Cottage Grove, Minnesota) is an American comedic actor. He is the youngest of seven siblings. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be a professional actor so when he was 12 years old he auditioned for a role in the series Baywatch, without success. After his graduation from Park High School, he moved to Los Angeles, where he was "discovered" in a talent search competition. His first professional gig was on television in the music video for Hole in my Soul by Aerosmith. Scott's first commercial success came with the 1999 movie American Pie as Steve Stifler, a role he reprised in two sequels and one that brought him to public notice; it defined the persona of his later, mostly comedic, parts. He also made a cameo appearance in Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and had a starring part in Southland Tales, as a police officer. In an interview with People magazine in 2003, the star said he does not normally wear undergarments, a custom known by some as "going commando." Scott is a close friend of Ashton Kutcher, with whom he co-starred in Dude, Where's My Car?.
