Quotes

On that note, that being said, it was damn hard kissing her. You've never experienced anything until you've had a mature, darting tongue in your mouth.

Acting has given me a way to channel my angst. I feel like an overweight, pimply faced kid a lot of the time - and finding a way to access that insecurity, and put it toward something creative is incredibly rewarding. I feel very lucky.

Our relationship couldn't be better. There's no truth to the rumours we'd temporarily broken up.

Actor-to-actor, Blade-to-character, you get all you ever need. But I like that. And my character is the perfect foil for him.

Four months after we finished shooting, I'd been in New Orleans shooting another movie and my agent and I were having a bite to eat - actually in London - and he's sitting there and goes, "Wow, I just can't believe how ripped you are."

It was comical because you're at a firing range, all these people are so seriously shooting their little guns.

It's a nice visual. I had just done Blade and I put on more weight for Blade and I thought I might as well use it so I kept it and added a little more. I wanted him to be a big bear.

It's just a pump-action shotgun that has like five barrels. I ended up not using it.

The first scene I shot was a wood chopping scene with the kid and it was strange for me because I had never worked with rage before on film. This guy is so rageful.

The kids are right in and don't even wipe the stain up. I recognize in the movie the rationale for them buying the house. I mean the house was a steal for what they were getting it for and this guy George Lutz had a lot of pressure on him to make good.

There's even a moment in the movie where I look over at Jess, and it's not even scripted, and I'm like, "He hates me, doesn't he?" And she's like, "Yes."

They thought it was just prosthetics on my stomach!

This is a huge budget movie so it was amazing to see just how he knew what he wanted. I mean, that's all you can ever ask for from a director.

Usually some of the best stuff comes from having something great on the page already, so you're sort of inspired by it.

We also had a beefeater - we called it. This big, huge Dirty Harry-kind of gun. That was on my side.

We started training a month before the movie started and then by five months in, we were at our peak shape.

With Wesley there's a bit of - David said this the other day - there's a bit of Blade in Wes and a bit of Wesley in Blade.
