Tinkerbell Dog
Tinkerbell Hilton (born October 31, 2002 in Los Angeles, California) is a famous teacup chihuahua, and the pet dog of Paris Hilton. Tinkerbell is widely believed to have advanced the trend of owning small dogs, dubbed "accessory dogs" by some.
Paris has also been at the forefront of more serious animal rights campaigns. She signed a protest letter to the Canadian Embassy complaining about that Government's brutality towards seals, and also posed in an anti-hunt sweatshirt with the comment "Club Sandwiches, Not Seals". These actions were widely reported at the time. She frequently appears with her master in public at various social events and functions, and has appeared in all three seasons of The Simple Life. In 2004 she even "authored" a memoir, The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries, with the assistance of ghostwriter D. Resin. On August 12, 2004 Tinkerbell was missing after Hilton's apartment was burglarized, and a $5,000 reward was offered for her safe return. Tinkerbell was found six days later.
In the summer of 2005 Hilton reportedly gave Tinkerbell to her mother, in favor of a smaller dog named Bambi after Tinkerbell had become too heavy. By December 1, Tinkerbell was again spotted with her master at various events and book signings. Tinkerbell is named after the Peter Pan character, Tinkerbell was portrayed unflatteringly in the episode "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" of the TV series South Park, in which she commits suicide by gunshot to escape being Paris' pet.
