Natacha Atlas (2005)
Released during the whirlwind
publicity tour for Natacha Atlas's 2005 best-of album, this
program features several promotional and music video appearances
by the artist. Known for her seemingly effortless blending of
Indo-Arabic musical tradition with more contemporary flavors of
the western world, Atlas has established herself as a unique
voice. Atlas appears here in six live performance videos, two
interviews, twelve promotional videos, and in a live set at Union
Chapel. The interviews are conducted in French and Arabic with
subtitles, and offer viewers a chance to hear Atlas speak openly
about her own influences and creative process.
