The film combines live action, suitmation, animatronics, and CGI. Sherlock Holmes is an 2009 film adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character of the same name. Guy Ritchie will direct the film, while Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin will produce the film. Produced by Madrid-based Ilion Animation Studios and HandMade Films for $60 million, it was acquired for US distribution by New Line Cinema in November 2007.
