كيانو شارلز ريفز المعروف بكيانو ريفز والذى ولد فى الثانى من سبتمبر عم 1964 فى بيروت بلبنان من أم إنجليزية وأب صينى أمريكى يعمل جيولوجى. وسافر كيانو مع والدته وشقيقته الصغرى الى نيويورك ثم الى تورونتو بكندا بعد انفصال والديه وبعد فترة ترك الدراسة ليعمل فى التمثيل وبدأ بالتمثيل فى الأفلام التليفزيونية ثم حصل على دور فى فيلم (The Rob Lowe hockey flick Youngblood) عام 1986 ثم سافر كيانو الى هوليود حيث حصل على إعجاب النقاد ولإعجاب المشاهدين بعد أداءه فى فيلم (Bill &Ted's Excellent Adventure) عام 1989 واختير كيانو ضمن أفضل خمسون شخص فى العالم فى استفتاء مجلة بيبول الأمريكية عام 1995 وحاز على المرتبة رقم 23 فى استفتاء مجلة الامبير الإنجليزية عام 1997 ضمن قائمة ضمت مائة نجم من أفضل الممثلين فى العالم
