Born in Omaha, Nebraska, she is reputed to be named after Jaime Sommers of the 1970s television series, The Bionic Woman.
She also goes by the names Jamie King and most especially James King during her early modeling years, because her agency already represented another Jaime the older, then-more famous model Jaime Rishar.
