Die Hard 4.0 (2006)
Die Hard 4.0 is the working title for the fourth installment in the popular Die Hard
series, This film will again star veteran actor Bruce Willis as John McClane, the protagonist of the first three films. Early reports indicate that in this film, McClane will still be a cop, but on vacation (the plot centers around McClane's attempts to stop a terrorist plot while he and his daughter are on holiday), and that McClane's daughter will have a prominent role.
It has been speculated that Bruce Willis' real life daughter Rumer, who was born the same year that the original Die Hard was released, is a prime candidate for the part of Lucy McClane.
(Jessica Simpson had previously auditioned for the role; Britney Spears, Mandy Moore and
Lindsay Lohan were also rumored to be cast. Taylor Fry played Lucy in the original Die Hard movie from 1988.
In early November of 2005, Bruce Willis appeared on the television show "The View" and said that the movie will take place 18 years after the first movie and his character is now retired.

Moonlighting
- Seasons 1 & 2 (2005)
Representing
the point at which American television reached a
point of mature artistry, MOONLIGHTING took the
medium to new heights of sophistication while
maintaining a sense of lighthearted fun. Fusing
the drama and comedy genres while offering
convoluted plotlines filled with
"serious" situations and cultural
references, the show delivered laughs according to
the tropes of more straightforward sitcoms. The
first season begins as the uncompromising former
model Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd, THE LAST
PICTURE SHOW) loses her fortune to an embezzling
accountant; all she has left are a few
money-losing businesses retained as tax
write-offs. Among these is the Blue Moon Detective
Agency, which Maddie plans to sell off until
fast-talking detective David Addison (Bruce
Willis, DIE HARD, THE SIXTH SENSE, PULP FICTION)
convinces her that the business can turn a profit.
The two form a partnership, solving the eccentric
cases that are forever turning up at Blue Moon.
Meanwhile, the two protagonists navigate the
growing romantic tension between the wisecracking,
smart, but slovenly David and the beautiful, icy,
slightly snobbish Maddie. In the first two
seasons, Maddie and David discover a dead body
that goes missing as soon as they report it; a
woman who thinks she's a leprechaun wants to hire
Blue Moon's services; and a man who has put a hit
on himself hires Dave and Maddie to call it off.
Episodes include "Gunfight at the So-So
Corral," "Next Stop Murder,"
"Brother, Can You Spare a Blonde?" and
"In God We Strongly Suspect."

Tears of the

Lt. Waters arrives Dr. Kendricks refuses to
abandon the refugees under her care. She implores

Breakfast of
Champions (1999)
Comedy
Midland City madman Dwayne Hoover (Bruce
Willis) has car commercials on every local channel
and his smiling face beaming down from every
billboard, but he’s not smiling inside; his life
is falling apart. Not only is he saddled with a
pill-popping schizophrenic wife (Barbara Hershey),
a glitter-covered lounge singer son named Bunny
(Lukas Haas), and a paranoid, cross-dressing sales
manager (Nick Nolte, in a hilarious performance),
but it’s Hawaiian week at the dealership, and
everyone is acting extra-bizarre, especially
Dwayne. Luckily, obscure science fiction novelist
Kilgore Trout (Albert Finney) is coming to Midland
City to preside over an art festival--and maybe
save the day. His eyes wide open to the cosmic
truths behind the horrors of existence, Trout
might be the one man who can lead Hoover out of
the hell of his own perceptions.
Based on the revered Kurt Vonnegut novel, this
ultraweird film from director Alan Rudolph may
alienate viewers in search of a conventional
narrative, but those in the mood for a
neopsychedelic trip through the American psyche
should enjoy the ride. They’ll also dig the
great "exotica" score by lounge legend
Martin Denny.

The Story of
Us (1999)
Comedy,
Drama and Romance
Told in an engaging collage of direct camera
confessionals, flashbacks, roundtable discussions,
and montages, Rob Reiner's THE STORY OF US, a
sweet romantic comedy featuring solid performances
by Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer, examines
the difficulty of preserving marriage in America
and the dual lives married couples often must
endure. The "us" are Ben and Katie
Jordan (Willis and Pfeiffer), a professional, and
by all appearances happily married, suburban
couple with two well-adjusted children, Erin and
Josh; the "story," however, is that
their marriage is actually crumbling at an
alarming rate, a truth they endeavor to hide from
their loving kids. Luckily, they can postpone the
admission of dissolution because of the
children’s departure to summer camp, with the
possibility that things will work out in the
ensuing months. However, as time passes, tempers
flare, Ben moves out, Katie meets a charming
divorcי at a cooking class, and, as the
inevitable return of Erin and Josh closes to a
week, there is no apparent hope of resolution.
Will the two be forced to present their kids with
an awful fact of life, or can they rediscover
their passion for each other and renew their love?

Die Hard
With a Vengeance (1995)
Action/Adventure
Superhero cop John McClane (Bruce Willis)
returns in DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE. Freshly
expelled from the NYPD, McClane encounters a
number of threatening phone calls from a terrorist
calling himself Simon (Jeremy Irons). Simon tests
McClane’s wits, and allows him the chance to
stop each bomb by solving a riddle. In addition to
using his previously learned anti-terrorism
tactics (DIE HARD, DIE HARD 2) , McClane enlists
an angry store clerk, Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson) to
decipher Simon’s tricky enigmas.
DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE finds director John
McTiernan returning to the creative helm of the
series he began in 1987(Renny Harlin directed DIE
HARD 2). For the third film in the detonative
series, McTiernan creates a story line which
floats from psycho terror to sonic action to
interracial comedy relief. The acting is something
to be marveled at as well. Bruce Willis
miraculously evokes sympathy whilst playing the
angry police man and Jeremy Irons’ performance
as the villainous Simon is reminiscent of an
Eastern European James Bond megalomaniac. Samuel
L. Jackson’s is also worth mentioning as he
gives an angry discourse in racism and then pops
off one liners, both ice cold and slick.

Nobody's
Fool (1994)
Drama
Paul Newman stars as Donald "Sully"
Sullivan in Robert Benton's adaptation of the
Richard Russo novel. A 60-year-old part-time
laborer who lost touch with the wife and children
he abandoned--along with most of his other
responsibilities--years ago, he's a marginal but
familiar figure in the small town he inhabits in
upstate New York. He conducts a mild, ongoing
flirtation with Toby Roebuck (Melanie Griffith),
the wife of Carl (Bruce Willis), a local
contractor who frequently employs Sully (and who
Sully's currently suing for worker's
compensation). His ready wit, surprisingly sharp
observations, and willingness to tweak
bad-tempered authority figures are appreciated by
the cronies with whom he drinks and plays poker.
Things begin to change for Sully when his
long-lost son, Peter (Dylan Walsh), arrives in
town for Thanksgiving with his family. A college
professor recently let go from his job, Peter
remains in town with one of his sons after a spat
with his wife, and for the first time he and his
father get to know one another. Sully also gets to
play grandfather to young Will (Alexander
Goodwin), an experience he seems to enjoy. As much
a portrait of a small town's engaging characters
as it is the story of a ne'er-do-well coming to
grips with his past, this affecting film features
a superbly muted performance by Newman; an
outstanding supporting cast, including Jessica
Tandy (in her last film), Philip Bosco, and Philip
Seymour Hoffman; and a funny, rueful script from
Benton.

North (1994)
Comedy
On the outside, 10-year-old North (Elijah
Wood) appears to have everything--he’s the head
of his class, a talented actor, and a star
athlete, and he even has successful parents (Jason
Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus). However, his
problem lies in that last piece of the puzzle. His
parents, while successful, are trapped inside
their own complicated world. They pay nary a drop
of attention to their accomplished son--so little,
in fact, that they don’t even miss a beat when
he simulates a coronary at the dinner table and
slumps to the ground. In a huff, he declares
himself a "free agent."
Director Rob Reiner's NORTH farcically tells the
tale of the young titular character as he embarks
upon a globe-trotting trek around the world,
visiting couples from Texas to Hawaii to Alaska as
the stunned world follows. North is guided along
his path of parental enlightenment by a mysterious
stranger (Bruce Willis) who takes forms ranging
from a bunny to a sleigh driver. Meanwhile, back
at home, a seedy lawyer and North’s
megalomaniacal best friend hatch their own
nefarious plots to cash in on his newfound fame.
Willis is in his wisecracking glory as North’s
morphing guardian angel.

The Player
(1992)
Drama
Robert Altman's adaptation of Michael Tolkin's
novel gives the notorious director a chance to
address perhaps his greatest nemesis: the
Hollywood studio system. Disguised as a thriller,
the film assembles virtually every famous actor in
Hollywood to create an exhilarating blend of real
life and fiction. Tim Robbins plays Griffin Mill,
a studio executive who begins to fear for his job
when upstart Larry Levy's (Peter Gallagher) name
becomes a hot topic on the lot. After receiving
threatening postcards from an unidentified writer,
Griffin tracks down David Kahane (Vincent
D'Onofrio), who he thinks is the guilty party. The
two argue, with disastrous results. Later, as
Griffin struggles to keep his job while trying to
distance himself from the law, he finds himself
falling in love with Kahane's mysterious
girlfriend (Greta Scacchi). THE PLAYER is a
vicious satire that exposes the Hollywood industry
as fraudulent, weak, and shallow. Altman's film
also sends up both the noir genre and filmmaking
technique, the latter notably in an extended
opening shot which is a sprawling one-take that
covers the studio's entire lot and features a
series of hysterical pitches by actual
screenwriters, including Buck Henry offering forth
on his concept for THE GRADUATE 2. Bitter and
electric, THE PLAYER ends on an ironic upbeat note
that perfectly concludes a stellar picture.

Billy
Bathgate (1991)
Drama
and Crime/Gangster
E.L. Doctorow's acclaimed novel forms the
basis of BILLY BATHGATE, which stars Loren Dean as
the title character. In the New York of 1935, the
naive Bronx-born teenager wangles his way into the
gang of his hero, crime boss Dutch Schultz (Dustin
Hoffman), as a gofer. Although the boy doesn't
know it, Schultz is approaching the end of his
storied career and the Feds are closing in, hoping
to put him behind bars for income-tax evasion. The
youth quickly learns about the endless violence,
treachery, and double-crossing that characterize
mob life, such as Schultz's cold-blooded execution
of his former enforcer, Bo Weinberg (Bruce
Willis). After Billy tips Dutch off about some
traitorous activity in his organization, he moves
up a couple of rungs and is soon entrusted with
guarding the gangster's girlfriend, Drew Preston
(Nicole Kidman). This proves to be something of a
problem, since the beauty has a mind of her own
and doesn't take anything from anybody, including
Dutch. Worse still, Billy finds himself falling in
love with her. Dean's pivotal performance strikes
just the right balance between street-smart
toughness and wide-eyed wonder, and the protean
Hoffman adds his explosive portrait of the
ruthless, beleaguered Schultz to his long list of
unforgettable roles. Steven Hill also shines as
Schultz's kindly, razor-sharp business adviser.
The film features handsome, period-specific sets
by Patrizia von Brandenstein and
characteristically brilliant photography by
legendary cinematographer Nestor Almendros (DAYS
OF HEAVEN), in his last film.

and plans to pursue an honest life. Some of his
cronies, however, feel differently and coerce him
back into a life of crime. With his best friend,
Tommy Five-Tune (Danny Aiello), in tow, Hawk finds
himself immersed in a series of complex
burglaries, culminating with the theft of a
priceless Leonardo da Vinci treasure from the
Vatican. Every time Hawk thinks he has the
situation under control, a new villain is thrown
into the mix. A plethora of quirky characters
keeps Hawk hopping, including a misguided
secret-agent nun (Andie MacDowell), a greedy,
megatrendy couple determined to dominate the world
(Sandra Bernhard and Richard E. Grant), a ruthless
butler (Donald Burton), and a sinister CIA agent
(James Coburn) who heads a team of agents
nicknamed after candy bars. Director Michael
Lehmann (HEATHERS, AIRHEADS) uses slapstick
comedy, special effects, and sight gags to keep
the action moving at a raucous pace.

The Last Boy
Scout (1991)
Action/Adventure
Bruce Willis stars as Joe
Hallenbeck, a
disillusioned former Secret Service agent who has
hit rock bottom as a detective for hire. His
marriage is on the rocks, his adolescent daughter
has a smart mouth, he drinks too much, and he’s
broke. Hallenbeck takes an assignment protecting
Cory (Halle Berry), the stripper girlfriend of
Jimmy Dix (Damon Wayans), a former professional
football player banned from the league for
gambling. When Cory is murdered gangland style,
Hallenbeck teams up with the former football hero
to find the killers. Their search leads them deep
into the world of professional football, politics,
legalized gambling and sadistic hitmen. LETHAL
WEAPON screenwriter Shane Black wrote the script
for this violent, action-packed thriller directed
by Tony Scott (TOP GUN, TRUE ROMANCE). Willis
plays Hallenbeck with a sadistic glint in his eye
and a deathwish. Wayans is convincing as Dix, an
athlete who loses everything when he's banned from
the game he loves and turns to drugs for
consolation.

Mortal
Thoughts (1991)
Drama
Demi Moore stars in this suspenseful,
atmospheric thriller as Cynthia, a middle class
New Jersey woman who gets involved in murder.
Harvey Keitel plays a detective who grills Cynthia
for a videotaped confession and the bulk of the
movie progresses in a series of flashbacks that
accompany Cynthia's testimony. Bruce Willis plays
James Urbanski, the violent, drug-addict husband
of Cynthia’s friend Joyce (Glenne Headly) who is
murdered one fateful evening at a nearby Feast of
San Gennarro festival. Lots of Jersey
Italian-style yelling and screaming goes on in the
aftermath, with goodfella Frank Vincent in the
cast, along with Karen Shallo, Crystal Field, and
John Pankow as Cynthia's sullen real estate agent
husband. There’s also betrayals, threats, and a
twist ending. Director Alan Rudolph captures the
local New Jersey flavor beautifully and imbues the
proceedings with depth via rich photography and
use of slow motion and quick cuts. Willis is
particulalry good, in a disturbing sort of way, in
this, his first collaboration with future ex-wife
Moore.

The Bonfire
of the Vanities (1990)
Drama
Brian De Palma
(SCARFACE) directed this lavish
adaptation of Tom Wolfe's best-selling satirical
novel, featuring Tom Hanks, Melanie Griffith, and
Bruce Willis. Hanks stars as Sherman McCoy, a
distinctly 1980s brand of wealthy Wall Street
wizard who takes a mighty fall from his glitzy
lifestyle after he and his mistress (Griffith) put
a Bronx youth into a coma via a hit-and-run
accident. Alcoholic reporter Peter Fallow (Willis)
sees the crime as an opportunity for big
headlines, and soon Sherman is the target of every
political and media group in the city, including
an Al Sharpton-style black leader named Rev. Bacon
(John Hancock) and a sleazy D.A. (F. Murray
Abraham). SEX IN THE CITY babe Kim Catrall costars
as Sherman's long-suffering wife, and Morgan
Freeman is the judge who tries to reign in this
three-ring media circus of a case. Like the decade
it parodies, this film is proudly over the top in
its lavishness. It's also filled to overflowing
with inspired casting, wildly inventive comedy,
and the sort of artistically ambitious tracking
shots for which its director is renowned.

Die Hard
(1988)
Action/Adventure
One of the greatest action movies of the late
eighties, DIE HARD, ushered in a new standard for
action films. With the dissolution of the Cold
War, both the stereotypical Russian threat (TOP
GUN, RED DAWN) and the destructive egoist (OCTOPUSSY)
became less fearful. With DIE HARD, director John
McTiernan introduced Hollywood to a new type of
villain: the terrorist entrepreneur. Alan Rickman
stars as Hans Gruber, an relentless businessman
whose lethal tactics achieve his goals. Unlike
most 1980s film villains who committed globally
dangerous acts for liberty, genocide, or
megalomania, DIE HARD’s Gruber uses guns,
explosives and cunning to storm the Takagi
Corporation’s Christmas party and heist millions
of dollars form the company. In addition, DIE HARD
also saw the development of the clumsy or bad luck
hero, John McClane (Bruce Willis) – a man in the
wrong place at the wrong time who chooses to
intervene. McClane overcomes incredible odds in
attempting to foil Gruber’s plot. Action fans
would see this misfit hero archetype again in
UNDER SIEGE (Steven Segal) and THE PHANTOM MENACE
(Jar Jar Binks). Although DIE HARD contains many
action movie cliches (one-liners, pyrotechnics),
it also broke new ground in its genre.

completely crazy, and she has that one drink. Over
the course of the night, Nadia's behavior will
cause Walter to lose his job and get beaten up,
arrested, and chased across town boy Nadia's
homicidally jealous former fiance (John
Larroquette). But somewhere along the line, Walter

complex set pieces in this over-the-top comedy.
