50 Cent: Bulletproof is a video game which is currently available on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox platforms, with a PlayStation Portable version soon to be launched. The titular protagonist is hip hop artist 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson), playing himself. The story revolves around Jackson's search for vengeance, hunting down the hitmen that attempted to murder him.

The game also features Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck, members of the G-Unit rap crew, as 50's gang. There is also a video game soundtrack available, released by DJ Whoo Kid's Shadyville Entertainment. It contains several new songs including I'm a Rida and P.I.M.P. Pt.2 The song Maybe We Crazy won "Best Original Song" in the 2005 Spike TV Video Game Awards

Connections to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Prior to GTA: SA's release it was heavily rumored that 50 Cent would feature in the game somehow with 50 himself stating that he would definitely play a major part it, even as the possible protagonist. Rockstar later denied this, and 50 Cent played no part in San Andreas and allegedly 50 Cent approached other gaming companies to make his own game, with the end product being Bulletproof.

Controversy: 50 Cent claims that Bulletproof is educational, teaching young children how gang life really is, in order to decrease it, despite the game having an ESRB rating of "Mature" meaning that young children should not be allowed to play it or even buy it. However, many political leaders contradict 50 Cent, saying that the game is "violent, outrageous and with no message". G-Unit is featured in the game as part of 50's gang. Dr. Dre plays an arms dealer, and Eminem plays a corrupt cop.

In addition, the game garnered generally poor reviews. Gametab, a website which compiles video game reviews from numerous sources into a single score, rated it only 49%. Cases of gameplay problems have been noted, mainly due to a twitchy, difficult to control camera, though an impressive pre-rendered cutsceen (as seen in the game) was released to the public prior to incite hype and increase sales to the casual gaming market. The game has also earned X-Play's "Worst Game for the PS2" award, with the hosts proclaiming it to be "Wangsta, very, very wangsta". It seems to have worked however, as the game has sold over two million copies.

Bulletproof was banned in Australia for exceeding the MA15+ rating, which is the highest rating for video games in Australia. However, a cut version was submitted for review, and the game was given an MA15+ rating for strong coarse language and strong violence. Australia does not yet have an adults only or 18+ rating for video games. The game is now approved in Australia, and was released on 6/4/06.
